Juan Zhong obtained her Ph.D. from the School of English at The University of Hong Kong, with research interests focusing on African literature in English, African area studies, and comparative literature and intercultural studies. She has led projects funded by the National Social Science Foundation, Humanities and Social Sciences Research Fund by The Ministry of Education, and Southeast University. Her recent works have been published in multiple core journals, such as Journal of Postcolonial Writing , Literature, Critique, and Empire Today , Language and Intercultural Communication and Art Review (Chinese). In 2024, She was awarded the honorary title of “Innovative and Entrepreneurial Doctor of Jiangsu Province.”
